Mercedes Sprinter Camper Van Conversion

  
2007 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 511cdi, LWB twin rear axle, 2.1 litre - 5 tonne. 183,000 miles on the clock but the clock conked out 4 years ago. From 2016 to present, the van had belonged to friends of mine who only drove it a couple of hundred miles a year - so there won't be more than 190,000 on her. Part converted camper, with multi-fuel log burner, gas oven and 2 burner stove, sink, fixed double bed frame, wardrobe & a 250 watt solar set up with 12v USB ports next to the bed. Walls insulated and lined but ceiling needs to be done. Fresh out of MOT, valid until April 2022. Tyres were on the advisories to be sorted soon, and theres NO SPARE. Since then, there has been issues with the clutch and changing gear.

My friend who's a mechanic suspects she NEEDS NEW CLUTCH. Struggles to go into 1st, 3rd & 5th.

Drives fine in 2nd, 4th & 6th. Near certain that the gearbox is fine, but it's a clutch issue which is not as expensive. Only 1 set of keys - and the remote central locking isn't working.

The central locking works from the dashboard buttons in the cab though. Just needs a new electronic key.

Back door lock only works from inside (was like that when I bought it) - locks automatically when you close the rear door so have to unlock from inside of van each time. Some bits of cosmetic damage, as seen in photographs; front plastic bumper is split in one section, and there is some rusty patches but generally the body and the chassis are in really great order for a van of this age.
